OK, you’ve heard the word “Pilates” but what type of exercise is it?
Actually Pilates is the best, most all-around exercise you could do. And you do most of it laying on your back!!
You get STRETCHING to stay flexible, WEIGHTS for strength and CARDIO to keep that heart pumping.
“I had just been diagnosed with Sciatic nerve damage and Patti exceeded my expectations as a Pilates instructor and I now have much better mobility.”
– Dr. Monica Bickerstaff Riley, DHM “Doctor Of Holistic Medicine & Fountain Of Youth GuruTM“, Las Vegas, NV
Pilates is a system of over 500 controlled exercises that engage the mind and condition the total body. It is named after its’ founder, Joseph Pilates. He created the exercises first for physical rehabilitation but has now become popular due to so many additional benefits:
- Helps prevent bone deterioration
- Reduces stress
- Relieves tension
- Boosts energy
- Improves posture
- Creates a stronger, more flexible spine
- Promotes recovery from injury
- Improves circulation
- Offers relief from back pain
- Enhances mobility and agility
- Helps you to look and feel better
“In 10 sessions you will FEEL the difference”
“In 20 sessions you will SEE the difference”
- “In 30 sessions you will have a BRAND NEW BODY!”
Joseph Pilates, Founder
There are separate exercises for each type of Pilates equipment:
Mat exercises can be done anywhere and may also incorporate weights, bands, balls and magic circle. The other equipment offers an even more variety of ways to do the exercises plus it works your body differently than on the mat. And is especially accommodating if you have any physical conditions.
I offer classes via Skype, Zoom or in person if you are in Las Vegas.
All you need is a mat to get started. But if you happen to have any of the other equipment (in Las Vegas or elsewhere), that’s where Skype or Zoom can work!
“I just wanted to tell you how much you and Pilates has benefited me. At 73 and with 2 knee replacements, not to mention my degenerative disk disease, I am able to bend, squat and my balance is so much better. Thank You!”
– S.Cooley, Las Vegas
